Identity and access for schools, built for daily life

From the morning gate to the canteen queue, ID Network puts a secure digital identity in every student's pocket — and one administration console in the school office. It's the same infrastructure behind mPilet, the official digital student card of Tallinn. Internationally, the same student card is offered as mID®.

Built for education

Everything a school touches, on one identity

01

One digital ID for every student and staff member

Issue, replace and revoke student and staff identities in minutes — verified against official education data and activated through secure state authentication. No plastic-card queue on day one.

  • Student & staff digital ID (mID / eID)
  • Instant issue and revoke
  • Verified against national education data

02

Access and attendance, not two separate systems

The same identity opens doors, lockers and gates and checks students into class — so access control and attendance finally share one source of truth.

  • Doors, lockers, gates
  • Classroom check-in & attendance
  • Live roll for staff

03

Safety and everyday services in the same card

A panic button and evacuation support sit alongside canteen ordering, library and transport — the card students already carry does the work.

  • Emergency: panic button & evacuation
  • Canteen & food ordering — cut costs up to 20%
  • Library, transport & vending integration

FAQ

Questions schools ask

Is this the same system as the Tallinn student card?

Yes. ID Network builds mPilet, the official digital student card of Tallinn, in daily use across 100+ educational institutions in Estonia since 2020.

How is a student identity verified?

Identities are checked against official education data and activated through secure state authentication, so a card can be issued or revoked in minutes rather than weeks.

Do we have to replace our existing readers and doors?

Usually not. ID Network connects to existing RFID readers and controllers, so schools can keep working hardware and add mobile identity on top.

What happens if a student loses their phone or card?

The credential is revoked instantly from the administration console and a replacement is issued at no cost — there is no physical card to reprint.

Where is the data stored and is it GDPR-aligned?

Deployments run on EU infrastructure with EU data residency and 256-bit AES encryption, designed to meet GDPR and EU data-protection requirements.

Is mPilet available outside Estonia?

Yes. Internationally the same digital student card is offered as mID®, a registered trademark of In Deal OÜ in the European Union and the United States.
